Marine Mechanic

 Position Overview

      We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our Kingston team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers competitive compensation based on experience, excellent benefits, and opportunities for         training and growth.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and test marine engines and equipment
• Install marine electronic accessories and systems
• Service and maintain marine water systems, bilge pumps, head and holding tanks
• Winterize and summer-prep all marine systems and accessories
• Accurately quote repair and service jobs
• Maintain dealership vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and shop equipment
• Assist with keeping the shop organized and clean

 Qualifications and Skills  Required:

• Mechanical repair experience (marine, automotive, or equipment)
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Clean driving abstract and clear criminal background check
• Willingness to work outdoors, around water

 Assets (Preferred):

• Mercury/Mercruiser, Volvo, or other manufacturer certifications
• Boating license
• Forklift certification
• Experience trailering boats
• Marine or automotive technical experience
• Computer proficiency with diagnostic software

 Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience (marine, automotive, or heavy equipment) Preferred
